Carnitine is a substance found naturally in the body and primarily in our mitochondria. All oxidation of fatty acids takes place inside the mitochondria, but for this to happen, the fatty acids must first get inside. Long chain fatty acids cannot do this on their own but must use a transporter and this is carnitine.
The body can then reuse the carnitine and when this happens the body forms acetyl-L-carnitine. This is also the variant of carnitine you find in ALC from Fairing. Many others instead use L-carnitine tartrate, which is not body specific but is more stable than pure carnitine.
Take 1-4 capsules of ALC daily, preferably on an empty stomach. ALC can be used in conjunction with training.
